CAIConsulting has launched the KfW project "Agrofinancing of Value Added Chains"

On April 2023, a four-year project has been launched by the German Company AFC (Agriculture and Finance Consultants) in a consortium with the Central Asian Consulting Company CAIConsulting under the support and participation of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The project provides the support to farmers and value chain enterprises in integration of new advanced technologies for the production and processing of agricultural products, incorporation of the international standards for the quality of products and gaining access to long-term agricultural investment loans. The total project budget is 37 million euros that is funded by the European Union, the European Investment Bank and the German Development Bank (KfW). The European Union has allocated funds for 5 million euros to support the agro-finance sector and expand the opportunities of the farmers and agribusinesses to sustain upgrading of the agricultural equipment and applying modern technologies in their working activity. Funds intended for the farmers lending, processing enterprises and other participants of value chains are provided by the European Investment Bank and the German Development Bank (KfW) in the total amount of 31 million euros.
