World Bank Project "Improving methods for assessing the quality of medical services in district health organizations"

In April 2019, CAIConsulting, together with the American company QURE, launched the World Bank's Project “Improving methods for assessing the quality of medical services in district health organizations”, funded by the World Bank’s “Results-Based Financing for Health” (RBF) and “Health and Social Protection” (SWAP-2). A team of international and local consultants began to develop a tool for assessing the knowledge of doctors, allowing to obtain and analyze data on the quality of medical services at the individual and hospital levels. This tool is a series of clinical tasks or cases (Clinical Performance Vignettes-CPV) that will be studied by doctors of the relevant direction; they will be given options for actions, directions and diagnoses that will allow the doctor to know how the actions correspond to the Clinical protocols adopted in Kyrgyzstan. At present, members of the Working Group formed by the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic have developed 24 clinical cases – 8 clinical cases in each of 3 areas: obstetrics, neonatology and pediatrics, cardiovascular diseases.

At the end of April 2019, a team of QURE and CAIConsulting experts conducted the first testing of 200 doctors from all regions of the country. Active support and assistance in this pilot testing was provided by the team of the RBF Project, as well as specialists from the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training.
