Projects

The main objective of the project is to assess the situation with drinking water provided by Vorukh-Shurab water system in an effort to prevent inter-communal and cross-border tensions during the joint use of this water system. Within the framework of the project will be prepared expert’s report on the issue of water resources use condition, and also review of the existing bilateral agreements and regulations, governing the issues of Vorukh Shurab water system operation.

Relying on technical, legal and socio-economic analysis, experts of the project will develop recommendations on the basis of which will be prepared a Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Tajik and Kyrgyz local authorities on the issues of water resources use in the south of Kyrgyzstan.
