Detailed Narrative Description of Project | The main objective of the present impact assessment was to determine how the Rural Finance Project II activities and resources impacted the rural people and whether and how the overall goals and specific objectives of the project were achieved.
Further, the assignment identified the critical issues that had affected project implementation as part of lessons learned. The work also covered assessment of the sustainability of achieved results. The impact of the project was assessed against the initial project objectives as described in the Project Design Summary in the Project Appraisal Document. The final report under the assignment contributed to the Implementation Completion Report to be prepared by the World Bank Team at the closing of the Project. |
Detailed Narrative Description of Services provided | The consultant team was responsible for designing the sampling frame and the survey instruments, conducting focus groups, creating the community profiles, processing and analyzing the obtained data, and drafting a report with the final results and recommendations for post-project improvements.
A local research firm to be selected by the consultants conducted the survey itself. The IA report presented findings clearly and systematically to enable readers to understand the social and institutional context, as well as the roles, needs and aspirations of different beneficiaries and how they were impacted by project design and implementation. |
