"Standards and Certification Schemes" Seminar under the "Agrifinance of Value Chains" Project
On January 14, 2024, a seminar “Standards and certification schemes” was held in Tokmok, Chui region, under the project “Agrofinancing of value chains in Kyrgyzstan”. The seminar was held for enterprises - members of the Fisheries Association of the Kyrgyzstan aimed to get familiarized with international standards ISO 9001, ISO 22000, GLOBAL GAP, Good Aquaculture Practices, EU ORGANIC and FAIRTRADE and the expediency of their use for food safety purposes, including further export.
The fishing sector enterprises were provided with information on the KfW Project activities to promote the certification of enterprises, selection criteria and ways for obtaining technical support from the project as part of the implementation of food safety quality standards and certification schemes.
The KfW project plans to organize similar seminars on certification of enterprises for food producers in accordance with the international standards to increase the export capacity of the fishing industry.
