Our company, in consortium with AEDES (Belgium), launched the UNICEF project "Developing a financing model to reduce the cost of quality primary health care services from own resources for low-income families in the Kyrgyz Republic" this summer. The project aims to provide the Kyrgyz government with practical and sustainable financial solutions for implementing universal health coverage (UHC) through quality, comprehensive and inclusive primary health care (PHC) services.
A meeting between the consortium's experts and UNICEF representatives was held in Bishkek on 5 September to launch the project mission. During the three-week mission, experts met with representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund, WHO, SDC, GIZ and others. Visits were also organised to FMC and GPC in Chui, Naryn, Osh and Jalal-Abad oblasts to collect information and conduct interviews with the administration and doctors of the centres.
