Detailed Narrative Description of ProjectThe general aim of the TA was to share experience in the education reforms process of the six participating countries of the region by promoting sub regional cooperation at the policy level. The project had the following specific objectives: disseminate information on experiences and practices in education reform design and management in transition economies, promote the participation of civil society in sector reforms, facilitate high-level policy dialogue between national decision-makers and external partners, and identify areas and programs for further sub regional education cooperation.
Detailed Narrative Description of Services providedEducation policy issues and development strategies have been reviewed by each participating DMC and then collectively discussed with a view to sharing experiences and identifying best practices regarding both the contents and processes of reforms.
Activities included: the preparation of country case studies on education reform management in the six participating countries, two sub regional workshops to guide the Project research work, a national policy seminar in each of the six countries to discuss case study findings, a final policy conference on education reform management in the subregion, and publication and dissemination of the Project findings.
