CAIConsulting has completed a baseline study for the CASA-1000 Community Support Project and Additional Funding for the Community Support Project

In November 2021, CAIConsulting completed the baseline study for the CASA-1000 Local Community Support Project and Additional Financing for the Local Community Support Project funded by the World Bank and implemented by ARIS.

The purpose of the baseline study was to obtain data for monitoring and evaluating the progress and results of community support projects. The research methodology and tools were developed by CAIConsulting experts together with Duke University (USA). CAIConsulting conducted quantitative data collection using the CAPI method (tablet survey) in 112 villages located in 69 ayil okmotus in Batken, Jalal-Abad and Osh regions. A total of 4586 respondents were interviewed.

The household baseline survey collected demographic, socio-economic data on selected villages in the three southern oblasts, access of the rural population to basic services, interaction with local governments, village decision-making, social cohesion, as well as the mainshocks of rural residents and coping mechanisms.
