As part of the Tyup-Karakol road reconstruction project, at the end of June and July 2021, air quality, noise and vibration were monitored in the areas adjacent to the Tyup-Karakol road. Specialists of the Laboratory under the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry, using a portable monitor, took air samples to determine the concentration of pollutants (sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, etc.) along the route. Measurements were also carried out for noise in the daytime and at night, and the vibration level was determined taking into account the traffic flow. Also, GRADKO diffusion tubes were installed along the road to measure air for SO2 and NO2 in accordance with European standards, which after two weeks will be removed and sent to the GRADKO office in the UK for further analysis.

The full EIA Report will be submitted to the European Bank and the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic in August this year.
